Regretfully I have to inform you due to an unfortunate accident the bike known as boardman has now gone staight to the pool room.  RIP

Stage 5 Willunga

Another great day today meet up with some locals and road down to the start at Old Mclaren Vale the over to Willunga and into the Old Willunga climb nice ride, continued down the back then into Willunga for lunch. Caught up with Mark parra and Eric groundhog, we cycled back to the decent to watch the peleton attack the decent I came down at 77.5km and the riders hit 100km very fast, when they came past the wind force from the peleton blew Marks bike off the guardrail. Total ride today 125km. Tomorrow we have the city race to finish off the TDU 2013.

Stage 4 Modbury

Much cooler day with the temp in the high 20 degree mark, road out to the start at Modbury with a group from Melbourne then back and up the 13km  Greenhill road climb that was well worth it when you turn and attack the decent. Looking forward to heading down to Aldinga Beach then up to Old Willunga Hill for the last stage of the road race tomorrow.

Stage 3 Stirling

Another great day with high temps and didn't the riders feel it. Andy Schelk even finished more than 5 minutes behind the lead group. We met up with other mates from Brisbane and they decided to do Mt Lofty great idea especially with no water, once at the top fueled up with water for the decent into Adelaide was a smash afest. Hylight was 2 riders coming down at our feet and Gav running off with the riders food bag and Mark getting his electro light drink.

Stage 2 Corkscrew

Another great day road with Dave from the Watermark hotel Eddie, Phil, Mark, Mark and Eric this morning coffee then me Jenno headed up the mountain conquered corkscrew with a tdu time 8min 24sec average of 12.7km happy with that. Temp hit 41 degree. Then across to Norton Summit across the top the down the decent home. Time for a beer.

Gr8 ride this morning down to the point. Just kept up with the boys but good fun. 48km of great water views. Off the victor harbour to have a look around.

Stage 1 checkers

Stage 1 Checkers long day 112km and 1500mtrs climbing. Checkers what a great climb and the crowd was out there to support the peliton, after the climb which the teams made look so easy we made a dash to loberthal for the 3 laps and the finish. Andre the gorilla showed why he has just won 12 stages of the of tdu. Few of the boys are feeling it and having a rest day tomorrow so I think I might be just a couple of us hitting thr mountains tomorrow. Gav got me by 34sec on checkers great effort Gav also he came in the top 50.

Big day of watching the pro s do there stuff. Then off to rostrevor hahndorf for a look barons while no-one else was around. Had a couple I'd beers at the Germany arms and bought time jerky and cheese rostrevor nibble on.

Beach ride

Magnificent ride along  the water front this morning for 40 km.  Can see me doing that a few Times with my allergy to upwardly facing roads. Coffee and croissants at the watermark. Good start to the day. For the marks

Champion systems ride

Day 2 just returned from the champion system ride along the beach 50km around 200 riders, breakfast all put on by the watermark hotel thanks to Dave what a lovely morning. Easy day today heading into the EXPO to dream and out to prospect tonight for the club team race. Saving our legs for checkers tomorrow.

Day one

Here we go day one ride over and what a great ride 82km to the top of Norton summit then over to mt lofty for a coffee, the desent back into Adelaide was why you do the climbs. The ride back to glenelg into the cross wind was tough and that's way we brought down gavs, thanks gavs for dragging us along anzac ave at 48km. Magic day one ready for the crit tonight.

Congrats go to Mr smith who done the whole ride today. Done more back tracking then lance Armstrong due techno man and his Garmin. Mark k only handled the flat stuff.

Here we go the first beer at the watermark hotel after a spin into Adelaide and back looking forward to mt lofty tomorrow run into greenedge in town and they are looking relaxed.

Arrived safely. Poor girl next to jenno and groundhogg had to watch bike videos and watch jenno cackle at Ted the whole way. Been into town for a quick burst (for me not them). Going back to the expo later. There are some big hills on the horizon.
